Otacom's Pokemon Cheats

These are all of my working Pokemon cheats. I've already tried them all out, so yes, they really do work. I think that they are all really cool.

Get 99 of any item

This is a cheat that is widely used. You've probably heard of it before. To use this cheat, you need the FLY ability, and the SURF ability. First, you FLY to Viridian City. Second, you talk to the old man that tells you how to catch Pokemon, when he asks you if you are in a hurry, answer no. Go through the procedure of how to catch a Pokemon. Third, put the item that you want 99 of sixth on your item list. Fourth, FLY to Cinnabar Island. Fifth, SURF along the right coast of the island. You have to be right on the coast. You'll see your body half on land and half in the water. Just keep SURFing up and down until you fight a Pokemon named Missingno or 'M. It dosen't matter which one. When you come across one of these Pokemon, it's picture will just be a bunch of dots. You can either fight or flee. After your done, look in your inventory, and you will see that you will have a lot of your sixth item.

Sitting on top of the world...well, at least a tree

This is kind of a worthless cheat. It's just for fun. Just CUT down any tree, then walk to the area that the tree was in, save your game, shut the gameboy off, restart it, continue your old game, and you'll be on top of the tree. Whoop-de-doo!!!

Find the truck

In all of my time playing Pokemon, I never knew that there was a vehicle, until I saw my friends game. I saw a truck, and I didn't know how he did it. Then I figured it out myself. To do this trick, you need SURF and a traded Pokemon that has CUT. In order to do this trick, you had to trade a Pokemon with someone. The Pokemon that you got had to have the CUT move. This way, you don't have to go to the ship in Vermilion City. Make sure that you didn't get CUT from the ship. In other words, when you are ready to do this trick, make sure that the ship is still there. Act like you are going on the ship. Walk down the dock, but before you enter the ship, head to the right, and start SURFing in the water. While you are in the water, SURF to your right. Keep SURFing until you hit land. Walk up. Soon you should see a truck. I wonder if it needs gas...

Pokemon in statues???

Yes, it's true. There are Pokemon living in the statues of gyms. You can catch them by arming your best rod, and fishing in them. This is a good way to catch those not-so-common water Pokemon. Too bad there's no trout.

Fight Safari Zone Pokemon on Cinnabar Island

This is an excellant trick, especially if you want to catch a Tauros. To do this trick, you need FLY. First, go to a patch of grass that contains the Pokemon that you want in the Safari Zone. Second, exit early. Third, FLY to Cinnabar Island, and SURF along the east coast. Soon, you should start to see many different Pokemon.

How to catch Missingno

Read the above cheat called "Get 99 of any item" and that should tell you where to get Missingno which is #000. Don't catch 'M, he's too weak, he's level 0. You can catch different kinds of Missingnos. When you catch Missingno, don't save your game. He'll mess it up and possibly erase your saved game. Although I never had this happen to me before.

Otacom's Helpful Hint

You probably already know this, but save your game before you fight a rare Pokemon. It really helps.

These next cheats were e-mailed to me from some Poké Powered People! Thanks to all of you who submitted these. I'm not sure if these all work, since I haven't tried them out yet. Remember, these were e-mailed to me, these aren't my cheats. So please don't e-mail if something happens or the cheats don't work.

How to get Togepi

Look at me cheat called "Find the truck". On that same land as the truck is, youshould find Togepi. This was submitted by Gariboy.

How to get Nidogod

First, you must enter the Safari Zone with five level 100 Nidokings, which were grown from experience points, not rare candies. Second, each Nidoking must have STRENGTH as their fourth attack. Third, you must go to the secret house in the safari zone. That is the same place that you got SURF. You must use STRENGTH once from each Nidoking on each statue in there. You have to get the statues in the right order, otherwise, you'll have to reenter the Safari Zone and do it again. I don't know the order, since I haven't done this before. This was given to me by Flamethrower95.

Bill's secret garden

To do this trick, you must have all 150 Pokemon. Go to Bill's house. Walk over to the teleporter and press the A button. That should take you to Bill's secret garden. This too was given to me by Flamethrower95.

How to get Mew without using a Game Genie or Game Shark

Read the "Find the truck" passage. You need a Pokemon that knows STRENGTH. Push the truck and under it should be a Mew. Thanks to Missy.

How to make a regular Pokemon Ball turn into a Master Ball

When you throw a regular Pokemon Ball, press B and up when the ball is closing in on the opposing Pokemon. I'm not sure if this works. Submitted by hariz.
